DIY Fishing Pole Stand
I am sure this will not be a popular post. You might ask – why is she posting about a homemade fishing pole stand?? Well because I am a southern gal & I love to do southern things… Like fish.
When my husband made this DIY fishing pole holder, I was so excited! Now we had a nice place to keep them from getting tangled and it looks awesome!!! Best of all, didn’t take him very long, at all, to make it! A lot of the time when we would get in from fishing we would place our fishing poles together & the lines would tangle or the reels would get stuck. Sometimes the fishing poles would get so stuck together we’d have to cut the line. It was so aggravating and a WASTE This do-it-yourselfer prevents this from happening!
I apologize for the poor quality of the pic, this pic was made 4 years ago!
First you’ll cut four limbs all around the same size. Then you’ll get a board. Joshua used a 2×4″.
He cut notches in the 2×4″ to hold the poles.
He then placed everything together and nailed it.
It’s not the prettiest sight I’ve ever seen, but it does the trick and it looks woodsy. I love the outdoors – hiking, fishing, hunting, camping, just being in God’s creation.
Here lately fishing has been our every weekend activity. Since my husband’s motorcycle wreck he can’t walk on his foot for long so hiking is out of the question! But he can definitely fish and we’ve done lots of it!
This DIY fishing pole stand is not the prettiest, but it’s the most economical and practical for its purpose 🙂
Please feel free to leave pics of your DIY fishing project below! I would love to see thoughts and ideas as well!
