Handmade Father’s Day gift of kids handprint
Are you looking for an inexpensive but memorable & sentimental gift for that special person in your life? That’s what I love about handmade gifts. You just can’t put a price tag on them. I love giving handmade gifts for special occasions. This handmade Father’s Day gift is sure to bring love and joy!
Personally, there’s nothing I enjoy more than on Mother’s Day or Christmas unwrapping that special handmade present from my little man. Those are moments frozen in time. Whether its made with his sweet little hands or even his feet, it’s precious and money can’t buy the joy that floods my heart when he gives me something so special.
I love to share that same experience with the grandparents, because I know they enjoy it just as equally!
My little man loves helping with these crafts and there is so much joy and laughter put into making these special crafts.
For Father’s Day one year we did hand print art. My step-father loves Eagles and we wanted to give him something special with Eagles on it as his Father’s Day gift.
- Construction Paper
- Brown craft paint
- White craft paint
- Yellow craft paint
- Black craft paint
- Marker (I used a sharpie)
- Frame
I started in the middle of the page and painted Hunter’s hands brown. Gently, and evenly I pressed his hands on the construction paper, one hand at a time.
Let the wings dry.
For the tail feathers I painted his fingers and again, gently and evenly pressed them on the paper.
I painted the head white and let Hunter help me with the beak and the eyes.
I then wrote a popular scripture verse to go along with the Eagle.
They shall mount up with wings as Eagles: They shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not be faint! Isaiah 40:31
We gave this to my step-father as a gift several years ago and to this day he cherishes it! Such a blessing to give a gift that has so much meaning behind it!
