Jesus Style Elf on the Shelf Arrival Idea with a Letter from Santa!
Ahh, the Elf on the Shelf. I love that little creature that visits our house every Christmas season.
The joy, the laughter, and the Christmas spirit that one tiny elf brings to my little guy is a blessing. The joy Hunter has waking up each morning to see what Ralphie has done starts his day off just right, with happiness.
Several years ago I heard about the little mischief (and blessing) causing elves and I LONGED for an Elf on the Shelf. At the time my husband and I were living paycheck to paycheck and I just couldn’t fork over the money to spend on one. My grandmother surprised me and purchased one on Amazon that year. You can find them on Amazon a little cheaper now, click here.
For this special elf’s arrival I knew I had to do something memorable, but I also wanted to incorporate Jesus, since Jesus IS the reason we even celebrate Christmas.
So I wrote a letter to Hunter from Santa explaining the elf and I wrapped the package in Christmas wrapping paper.
Hunter enjoyed unwrapping his first official present of the season so early! It really got him excited and into the Christmas spirit. He also thought it was so cool that Santa valued Jesus more than himself
Hunter was SO excited when he got Ralphie. He had heard all about his cousin’s elves that were doing some pretty silly things and he had wanted an elf for a while.
I love incorporating Jesus into Christmas whenever I possibly can, and this was a GREAT time to do it! Let me know your thoughts and ideas. How have you incorporated Jesus into your Christmas season?
If you’re interested in a personalized letter for your little one and you don’t have the means to do it, please let me know & I will add them to my “printables” section for $5 each!
