It’s been a while since I have been pregnant. About 11 years! 11 years ago pregnancy announcements weren’t a big thing, but now it is!

I had a smorgasbord of feelings when I found out I was pregnant. I actually thought I was having endometriosis symptoms because my left ovary was hurting. I searched the internet and came across a post that said the pain could be from a cyst left on your ovary after ovulation if you’re pregnant.

After making a front porch bed swing, we had some wood left over. I didn’t want to waste this wood, so I decided to make an owl box to hang in the back of our woods to attract owls!

Owls are majestic birds of prey that feed off of small rodents, lizards, etc. Here in Georgia we have several breeds of owl, the most common being the Barn Owl and the Barred Owl.

Building a Front Porch Bed Swing

For 8 years I’ve dreamed of a front porch swing. I remember when we first built the house, I envisioned a swing on the front porch that my family and I could go out on and relax. After all, living in the south you MUST have a front porch swing right? I didn’t want just any swing, I knew I wanted a front porch bed swing.

Our 3 day adventure (not including our 2 travel days), started off in Scottsdale, Arizona. We spent the first night in Scottsdale, traveled up to Sedona, spent the night in Flagstaff, visited Bearizona and headed over to the Grand Canyon and spent 2 nights there, and then traveled back to Phoenix. This post compiles our Sedona trip and the Grand Canyon Trip.

The Grand Canyon is a vast wondrous beauty to see, but planning can be quite overwhelming. We started our trip from Phoenix, Arizona to Sedona then up to the Grand Canyon, so this post will go over the South Rim.

Bearizona

After visiting Sedona we stayed at a hotel in Flagstaff, AZ. From there we went over to Bearizona. Bearizona is a cute drive thru animal park. It was fun to see all the different animals.
